Tuned Mass Dampers (TMD's)

MAURER Tuned Mass Dampers (TMD) are designed as spring mass or pendulum systems. The degree of spring stiffness of the secondary mass is chosen to achieve optimal tuning of the main system. A mostly viscose damping component damps vertical and horizontal or torsion vibrations. For continuous control, the damping component can be filled with a magneto-rheological fluid – a carrier liquid with magnetically polarizable particles.
